Blair on a Budget

Blouse - Tree of Life (Sleeves removed)
Belt - Op Shop
Scarf - Op Shop
Skirt - Self Made
Tights - Leona Edmiston
Shoes - Vintage (Etsy)
Bag - Ebay

Today's outfit was what I think Blair Waldorf might wear if she were relatively impoverished (and had mild indie pretensions). The tights are a new purchase, I love them, but they sag a bit and unfortunately grated my feet half to death in my slightly too small shoes.

How am I experimenting today? Well, for a start, my hair is back - which it very, very seldom is. Though next time I have it like this I might put a plain black headband in it - it feels a little boring on its own. Also, I decided that tying a small scarf around my wrist would be fun - I felt I needed a little colour and I feel like I don't accessorise very often. And - my beloved red is nowhere to be seen! I'm actually rather enjoying wearing a less colour at the moment. So, little things, but new (to me) none the less!

And, finally, a close up of the scarf on my wrist (I cannot remember where I have seen this before, though I'm certain I have);

I love the scarf around your wrist! Very nifty. I've seen something before where a scarf was tied with a knot every 5cm or so and worn as a necklace, it looked surprisingly good.

Baby steps! Very pretty, especially those tights (despite any sagging/foot grating properties they may have).

You look so lovely here! I love the tights they're so chic.

Now tell me, did you tie the scarf on your wrist all by yourself? Cos if you did, then you're a champion!

Kate moss does that doesn't she? - and i think lindsy wears one around her ankle?.... i could be wrong.... i'm not upto date on that kinda thing.

Nice subtle touch of colour.

Wow you look fab! I especially like the scarf around your wrist. It's a little 'sex in the city,' Carrie sometimes wears them around her arm like that...

I am new to reading your blog and i think it is fantastic!
