I felt like a schoolgirl of the sixties in this outfit, and to be honest, it's a great feeling! I'd be a preppy kind of mod, with a huge crush on Paul McCartney and even more opaque tights than I own now. I really love this skirt, but I have trouble finding things that go with it. It took quite a lot of altering, it was far too wide and far too long, so I will make an effort for it more in the future. I really like wearing my new shoes with laces as well as with ribbons, it changes the look quite a lot. I felt very sad not being able to listen to any songs of the sixties today, so I have resolved to finally buy a new mp3 player (having lost my iPod when my handbag was stolen).
Tim and I take it in turns to make lunch for both of us for uni. Today was his turn, and he made me the most wonderful bagel;

It had ham, brie, lettuce and cucumber on it. And the best part? He made me two! I was in bagel heaven. Tonight he's coming over to dinner, and I'm making spaghetti bolognese, to placate him as he says I never cook him meat.
I hope you all had as nice a day as I did.

That bagel looks very yummy - the deal in our house is that I make the lunches and my husband makes the dinner. A food preparing man is a fine thing indeed!
yum the bagel looks delicous!
I love your outfit - if I were a child in the 60s I'd have to be a Rolling Stones fan hehe despite that I hope was can still be friends in the schoolyard :D
mmm, that bagel looks delicious! i looove bagels, you are one lucky girl! haha. i love this skirt of yours, you did such a good job with it and it's such lovely material. the outfit is really cute as well, and i actually like the shoes better with the laces- you can see more of the detail of them.
Are you a vegetarian? I ADORE bagels - I think it's the Jewish blood in me. I could eat them for every meal, every day!
forgot to say, i adore the colour of your stockings, are they just one pair or two layered?
I love that skirt, its one of your things I particularly covet ;)
personally i think the bagel looks great but the boyfriend is even better -- he's a keeper that one!
You always look super cute!! Hope you don't mind i added you to my blog roll :)
I love that 60's look so cute and polished!
I've been gettin into 50's styles but perhaps I can streach the theme to 60's too!
oh my god, that lunch thing is so cute. my friends and I always wanted to do that at school but never did. and the 60s are awesome too. I like your blog!
Nadia, I'm not a vegetarian, I call myself a "meat minimalist". I very seldom choose meat for myself or cook it, but I'll eat it if someone has made it for me. I adore bagels too, ideally with smoked salmon. Nom nom nom.
Amanda, it's just the one pair of stockings, but they're 100 denier.
The Paper Doll, thank you! That's so kind of you.
