Another garden, and op-shopping

Today was spent attempting to relax at home (I handed in the last two pieces of uni work on Monday but haven't quite gotten over the stress of it all yet). Tim came to visit me in the afternoon, and we made a trip to the local op shop. He also managed to take another high angle, rather unflattering picture of me - it is tricky for him, being so tall.

Dress - Vintage
Tights - Leona Edmiston
Shoes - Vintage

The dress is from the lovely Strike.Match's etsy store, and it came to me so beautifully wrapped, with a lovely note and brooch;

So lovely!

Remember that Salvos poster I had a picture of yesterday? Today when Tim was at uni, the people who created it took a picture of him as inspiration (for the next one, presumably)! Here he is in the inspiring outfit;

I'm quite sure it's all op-shop or ebay except the pants and belt. Sigh. Sometimes I wish I were male, so I could wear Tim's clothes.

And, finally, our op-shopping haul!

I am absolutely thrilled with the bag - I've been looking for one like this for a while, and it was a mere $5. The shoes are - amazingly - Louis Vuitton, and we're 99% certain that they're genuine. They're too small for Tim, so they're for the market stall that we shall eventually have.The gloves are amazing - so pretty, and very good condition. Sadly, all too small for me, so also for the market stall. All in all, very good finds!

hello, i hope you don't mind but i've added your blog to http://studentbloggers.org/! i love that bag too, is it a doctor's bag?

That's very much fine, thanks! I think the bag could be described as a Doctor's bag, but it's a little hard to classify.

you always find such good things at op shops. I wish I had the patience, because I usually buy whatever I can find instead of looking longer and buying things I actually like.
Next time I will restrain!

Wow! I'm always amazed by your finds in the op shops. I always do my best, but never manage to find decent things here in Toronto.

Would it be possible for me to purchase those shoes from you, provided they are my size (European 40-41, US/Canadian 7-7.5).

Email me at patcasullo.com - I'm very interested please!

missi - thank you so very much, I shall put it up very soon!

Percy Chatsworth - I'm afraid they're a men's size 6, so they would be rather too small. Glad you like them - keep on trying with your op shopping, I didn't find anything very good until I started going VERY regularly.

I love your dress, very 50s. And Tim looks dapper.

If the shoes are a men's size 6, that would be about a women's size 8, right? Which I am. Hmm, I could see myself walking around Perth City in a pair of men's shoes, paired with slacks and suspenders. But this isn't an online store, is it? I am confused and rambling. Anyway. Yeah. I like the shoes.

oops!

I was so excited by the shoes that I gave you the wrong email, that one doesn't even exist! I'm at hotmail!

Thanks for your response, Rachael. I don't mean to bother you, but do the shoes look like a large 6? I tried on a pair of Church's shoes which were a siz and they fit....
